The Regional Finance Manager, EMEA will support and contribute to an increasing number of financial planning and analysis requirements for Sungard’s Global Services EMEA markets. 

The Finance Manager will interact heavily with the finance, executive and business leadership management teams in London, EMEA offices and the US. 

This person must be able to interpret and translate financial data, business concepts and road maps into clear, concise financial information that can be used as action plans while ensuring integrity of data. 

This position reports to the Global Director of Finance, Sungard Global Services (SGS). 

This position will support all SGS activities within the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Management in analyzing business unit performance vs. plan
  • Create comprehensive report packages that support analysis and decision-making
  • Assist with periodic business review and other financial presentations, budgets and forecasts (revenue and expense)
  • Collaborate with members of other functional teams to identify, measure and report operational performance drivers and key metrics
  • Provide assessment of existing and proposed financial plans and policies
  • Drive process/reporting improvements in collaboration with the finance and operations teams
  • Serve as primary point of contact for SunGard Global Services (SGS) EMEA internal systems, ie Helios (time and expense systems) and Planview (internal forecasting, resource and project management tool) and others as they are developed or implemented
  • Perform monthly reporting as needed for consolidation, ie, sales metric reports, forecasting, actuals, headcount, utilization, etc.
  • Present monthly presentations of financial and KPI results to partners including revenues, costs and margin by office, account, project and practice area
  • Participate in annual budget process, providing insight to SGS Partners and senior management into the cost stack for European resources
  • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting projects as required.
