A global leader in a specialist services organisation, is actively seeking a dynamic and driven individual to take up the key post of Finance Director on a 2 year fixed term contact (this has every possibility of being extended) to be based predominantly in London, with some international travel.
The role will have responsibility for the outsourced Finance Team, providing financial reporting and transactional services back to the group's regional shared services teams and to the global businesses directly. The main focus for the next few years will be to embed the new service culture, drive people and behavioural development and facilitate the effective operation of the financial shared service network across the globe. The role will require experience of the commercial aspects of outsourcing processes to a third party, managing the supplier, services against the contract & commercials, and developing people capability. Supporting the regional CFO's, you will lead the financial transition towards a Shared Service Centre environment within the region, including the assessment of alternative operating models. You will also manage and direct the forum responsible for building the process owner teams in order to drive adoption of best practice in process development.
The role will report directly into the Global Transformation Director and will work very closely with the regional Shared Services leads in the United States, EMEA, APAC and India.
In order to take up this pivotal role within a growing and diverse business, it is essential that you have previous experience of setting up and running a financial shared services project, including experience of operating in an outsourced shared services environment, and in managing outsource implementations and ongoing contracts. Your gravitas will come into play when it comes to negotiating and managing performance against service level agreements. Your personality and communication skills will play a major part in this role as you lead people through the transition, and manage change whilst building a shared service culture. Your experience will be backed up by a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) and you will be a skilled influencer at senior and operational levels.
