Financial Shared Services Manager

The Local Authority is engaged in a major re-implementation of its core Oracle Financials system. The substantive post-holder will be project managing this, and so we are seeking a senior interim manager to backfill the position until approximately July 2013.

This post is responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the Council's internal financial shared service, comprising approximately 50 staff. This service is primarily responsible for transactional financial services, such as exchequer payments, banking and cash allocation, payroll, pensions administration, balancing and reconciliation of the council’s control accounts and feeder systems and some technical services such as VAT accounting.
