Director, Finance and Accounting

Assurant, a provider of specialized insurance products and related services in North America and select worldwide markets, is looking for a Director, Finance and Accounting.

Position is envisioned to lead governance and vendor management for Assurant Finance & Accounting - a combination of internal shared services and third party outsourcing partner under the overall guidelines and protocols established by Assurant Enterprise Sourcing Office.

The position will work closely with leadership and internal customers - Assurant CFO council in ensuring an effective and transparent reporting performance, strong focus on customer service and identifying ways to achieve both strategic and tactical objectives for various Assurant finance organizations/ internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement a strong planning and reporting process in conjunction with Assurant Enterprise Sourcing Office, Internal customer leadership (CFO - Council) and leadership team
• Provide objective and independent reporting of performance metrics and financial value realization to Executive Management / CFO Council
• Manage the tactical and routine tasks of vendor management, customer & provider relationship management, issue resolution, contract management, transformation planning, governance meeting planning, service level agreement ('SLA') and key performance indicator ('KPI') tracking
• Design, implement and manage a strong governance process
