Shared Services Manager

This is a permanent position, with a salary bracket of £50000 to £65000 per annum is being managed by Michael Page financial services.

Main responsibilities include

• Coordinate the UK annual budgeting exercise for shared services (managing a team of 3 people)
• Review of monthly / YTD performance of shared services departments versus budget and reforecast
• Responsible for monthly shared service operations re-forecast with Business Partners
• Assist operations in the preparation of financial modelling relating to major projects
• Lead / assist operations with lead vendor negotiations, ongoing vendor management, contract review and bill audits
• Understanding and re-forecasting of UK shared services allocations and unallocated balances
• Mange the monthly update of Shared Services Gross Expenses and Allocations Forecast in Cognos Planning
• Prepare Shared Service Management Reporting Decks for Country Leadership and Global Shared Services Leadership
• Prepare summary analysis of Quarterly, YTD and full year variances
• Oversee posting of shared services incentive accrual and year end true up
• Review of period end G/L journal prepared by the team including review of Journal support; sign off and challenge as required
• Reconcile and understand / challenge balance sheet accounts related to the above FP&A departments and provide support
• Understanding and ownership of the US Corporate allocations - including challenging these and understanding basis as appropriate
• Lead, motivate and develop the shared services (non IT and FP&A team)
• Liaise with central accounting team and other financial areas as appropriate
