Head of Shared Services/Accounting Services

The Media organization group have completed a major reorganisation of the business recently to accelerate delivery of its strategic objectives and it is also on the acquisition trail (it has set itself the target of doubling its revenues and margins in the next 3 years).

This newly created position will play a key role in the transition to, and leadership of a new finance team structure. There is a significant level of change required to deliver this platform and structure, and this role will play an important part in:

• Managing process, controls and systems change and discipline across the Accounting Services team and across the wider finance and business community
• Identifying and developing existing resource within the Finance team and where necessary recruiting new resource to build the right team within accounting services
• Challenging existing process and driving initiatives to deliver a ‘continuous improvement’ best practice environment
• Development of infrastructure, policies, procedures and implementation of rigorous systems and controls to support business growth
• Deliver a team focused on service delivery and performance metrics that drive improvements in value, whether measured through service or cost KPI metrics
• Building effective relationships both within the Finance team and across the business.

While this is a senior finance position that will require contribution to finance strategy and support of the organisational change within the Finance community, it remains a very ‘hands-on’ role
