An individual with experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry needed in New York, United States.

Serves as primary point of contact for Specialty Lines of Business (BU) leadership in providing service for all areas of Financial Performance, Planning and Reporting to assigned BU.

Directs financial activities for assigned BU and manages a staff of financial analysts providing the BU with planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting services. Partners with BU to develop and execute financial strategy.

The ideal candidate will have solid technical expertise and a strong understanding of financial analysis and profit/loss.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and develop financial analysis, insight and strategic planning support to BU and in support of enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Develop and expand business opportunities and long-term relationships
  • Work with Senior Management on a daily basis in addition to day to day oversight for analyst level direct reports
  • Lead operating, strategic and profitability reviews from the finance perspective on behalf of the BU
  • Responsible for directing financial policy with the BU and in support of our control environment
  • Direct preparation and/or analysis of all BU financial results
  • Provide business insight on results and forecasts
  • Develop and implement annual financial plans and expense budgets
  • Responsible for directing finance policy within the business unit and in support of our control environment
