Chief Financial Officer

There is an available opening in Washington, US for CFO that is expected to provide experience-based strategic and tactical input to the management of the business.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Report to the Al Taif Technical Services Board of Directors on all financial management matters
  • Responsible for the overall financial management activities of the company
  • Provide direction and counsel to a team responsible for financial reporting, treasury, risk management, credit and collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank relationships, and internal controls
  • The broad scope of oversight will include
  • Corporate and customer accounting, accounting analysis, internal controls and procedures
  • Consolidations and accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Coordinate external financial relationships including shareholders, commercial banks, and independent auditors
  • Accounts payable and payroll management, proactive management of cash and working capital
  • Interface with the Audit Committee of the Board on audit findings, compliance, internal controls, and accounting issues
  • Budgeting and forecasting, compare actual performance with operating plans and standards; provide details variance analyses on a monthly basis
  • Establish guidelines and manage the process for tracking and reporting Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly forecasts
  • Responsible for maximizing the efficiency of all accounting and finance personnel through training, counseling, and guidance, including specific goals and objective productivity targets
  • Ensure other functions are accurately generating and reporting reliable key performance indicators
  • Drive the pricing process and ensure compliance with established criteria;
  • Corporate Financial Management Functions
  • Report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors of Al Taif Technical Services on all financial management matters
  • Prepare the Al Taif Technical Services Legal Entity Financial Statements to external entities, government entities, and external auditors
  • Arrange/handle external audit of the Al Taif Technical Services Legal Entity Financial Statements
  • Arrange, maintain, and service Al Taif Technical Services bonding requirements in relation to the prime contract
  • Arrange and service insurance policies to secure adequate coverage
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong foundation in accounting, internal controls and reporting skills
  • Firm understanding of US GAAP and IAS accounting standards
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the organization’s operations, business drivers, and culture
  • Should also be an inspiring leader and strategic partner to the COO and CEO, as well as an independent and creative business thinker
  • Reputation for the highest standard of ethics and integrity
  • Team leader and builder. Good coach to help the financial organization deal with growth and change
  • Skilled at developing a professional staff
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong strategic business sense
