Intergen is currently seeking Manager, Finance Shared Services. The role is to be based in Mexico City.
The role of the Shared Services Manager (SSM) is critical to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance Accounting department and will be instrumental in the successful design, implementation, transition and sustainability of our future operating model. SSM will be responsible for ensuring that the output from the Mexico region Shared Services team is accurate, timely and fit for purpose. SSM will effectively manage the core of the Finance function in terms of number of resources and transaction volume.
Responsibilities:
- Shared Services Group Management
- Assess and define the team members of the Shared Services Team (SST)
- Set objectives and define development plans for direct report(s) in line with department objectives
- Day to day supervision of direct report(s) and workloads
- Assist and support in the assessment of impact of change challenge initiatives on the (SST)
- Team’s mentorship, leadership and motivation
- Propose Key Performance Indicators to Mexico Management in order to implement tracking tool to measure success
- Tracking performance vs. Service Level Agreements Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Responsible for best practices research, recommendations, and implementation
- Effectively coordinate with other members for the Finance function, the region and corporate to balance clients expectations with team’s resources and workloads
- The Shared Services Group will be responsible for transactional related processes that will serve as a basis for the Finance, Project Controllers and the Tax groups to perform their functions and activities
- The Shared Services Group will also be responsible for the Treasury and A/P functions.
- Develop/implementation of control matrix
- Ensure controls underpinning the production of financial data are appropriately designed and operating effectively
- Maintain procedures and controls documentation
- Review, propose modifications and maintain Delegations of Authority (DOA) and ensure systems permissions are consistent with DOA
- Establish processes and controls for ensuring accuracy of output from team
- Ensure compliance with Global policies
- Review of VAT returns and supporting work papers
- Responsibility for ensuring supplier invoicing is accurate
- Standardize working papers across all projects
- Provision of information to auditors
- Support PCs with information and reports for Business Cases
- Develop methodologies for standardizing data-collection and work processes, performing analyses, and developing conclusions and recommendations
- Tracking and measurement
