Finance Director

NorthgateArinso currently have an opening for a Finance Director to join their organisation within the Public Services division of Northgate Information Systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of the business, further building a strong, capable and pro-active finance team.

It is broad in its remit, with responsibility across deal shaping, budgeting, accounting, reporting, financial controls, and further developing and building a finance team.

The main areas of responsibility will be:

• Develop and further build the finance team with ownership of recruiting, training, managing and motivating the Finance team to continue to grow through use of new approaches and practices, systems development, and the use of new methodologies
• Develop a close and effective working relationship with the CFO, MD, and management team, providing strong financial leadership working alongside sale and operational teams
• Responsibility for all financial reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including monthly reporting (financial statements including cashflow) and annual reports and accounts
• Responsibility for providing technical and commercial expertise into shaping deals, including deal structure, revenue recognition, margin analysis, payment profiling, evaluation of returns, cashflow analysis and sign off of tenders/commercial proposals
• Responsibility for building the 3 year financial plan and 1 year annual budget with the management team reflecting sales, market, operational and strategic positioning
• Ensure that the finance team is fully aware of external market developments (including competitive analysis, market trenads accounting standards, compliance matters, company law) that may impact upon business execution
