Credit Suisse are looking for a Head of Operations Finance to work as part of their share service center in London.
General overview:
- Close collaboration with the Operations executive committee for all matters in connection with the Operations division expense base.
- In partnership with the Operations executive committee and with the help of a finance team of 13 people, understand and provide recommendations to help Operations management control the significant cost base
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Provide an overview and key insights into the total cost base (including IT costs) and savings potential for Global Operations to the head of the division and COO in terms of monthly expense trends, forecasts, strategic plans and the detailed budget
- Manager of a global team of 13 people
- Production and presentation of management reports including monthly expense analysis, forecasts and executive board savings reports
- Monthly meetings with management to review expense analysis, forecasts, budgets, re-organizations and ad-hoc matters
- Forecasting to predict full year expenses for use in preventing budget overruns as well as front office reviews
- Efficiency initiative tracking
- Detailed budget preparation for the subsequent year
- Explanations of allocations to the front office
- Business Interaction Meetings between functions and the front office
- MIS alignments to reflect organizational changes including cost centre structure changes, current year budget restatements and prior year actual expense restatements to enable year-on-year comparability
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support managements’ information needs and decision making processes
- Participate in Shared Services Finance's key projects
- Close collaboration and information sharing with Group Finance within Switzerland and also across hubs in EMEA, Singapore and New York
- Frequent interaction with the India and Poland service centre in terms of reviewing reports, giving feedback and training as well as assisting with process improvements
