Deputy Chief Finance Officer

A company in the South East of England is looking for a Deputy Chief Finance Officer specializing in NHS financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the CCG through authorisation process and creation of the new fully operational organisation
• Develop the financial strategy, plans and budgets for the CCG
• Ensure the CCG delivers against financial targets
• Ensure savings (QIPP) plans are developed and achieved
• Ensure high quality financial reporting for the CCG
• Production of annual operating plan for the CCG
• Provide finance support for business cases
• Working with CCG Executive and Clinical Leads, as well as Commissioning Support South contracting and finance teams
• Deputise for the Chief Financial Officer as required

Essential Criteria:

• Able to work independently with a hands on approach
• Expert knowledge of the NHS financial systems and reform agenda
• Advanced level of specialist knowledge of financial management, contracting and performance management
• Strong management accounting background
• Management of multi-million pound contracts
