Finance Manager - Accounts Payable and Cash

A restaurant/bar chain is looking to recruit a temporary Finance Manager to cover maternity leave for 6-9 months starting ASAP. The main focus of this role is to ensure the cash from the different sites is monitered as well as overseeing the AP function.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase to Pay Cycle
  • Oversee AP Manager.  Ensure deadlines are met.  Resolve issues if not met
  • Review weekly payment runs
  • Manage payments in line with cash forecast
  • Review monthly payment runs
  • Review monthly supplier statement reconciliations – for all main suppliers
  • Review monthly aged creditors.  Investigate old invoices, impact on cashflow
  • Investigate DR balances
  • Resolving/dealing with adhoc queries
  • Cash Cycle 
  • Review weekly Bank Reconciliations & CIT and agree to TB for monthly file
  • Review Cash Discrepancy report
  • Review Change Reconciliation
  • Review ATM Reconciliation
  • Review Cash Controls
  • Ensure team are following up on queries
  • Review monthly write offs
  • Settle in new processes and controls following till system up grade
  • Review and set up ad hoc payments on internet banking
