In October 2012 Susie West interviewed Luke McKeever, CEO of OB10. Susie was interested in finding out how, with 18 months at the helm, Luke viewed the crowded market of e-invoicing, what he thought of competition, how users are changing their requirements, and what the OB10 merger and acquisition roadmap might look like in order to keep the network's footprint truly global.
The interview comes in 6 parts. This is part 4 of 6.

This is an interesting piece. I think the same evolution is underway from a capture outsourcing perspective. With respect to AP Automation, the technologies to fully automate invoice processing are costly and niche, being difficult to adopt and manage, especially in companies in the $100MM - $5B range. With that said, not everyone is receptive to full BPO in this space and turning the keys over to the outsourcing of the Payables function. Thus, we see a transition to and embracing of what we call Document Process Outsourcing, whereby clients can leverage automation technologies in the cloud, but remain the process owners/subject matter experts and high-touch nuances of supplier relations. You can check this out at www.cloudxdpo.com/accountspayable or http://insight.clouxdpo.com/blog It's the best of both worlds and levels the playing field for companies that can't afford the technology nor have the resources to manage it.
