Financial Controller

A pharmaceutical business based in Dubai and is currently recruiting a Financial Controller. The role will report into the Finance Director and will cover the MENA region.

Responsibilities: 

• Assists Finance Director in formulating companies policies and Procedures
• Identifies control risks and put necessary controls in place to mitigate those risks
• Oversees accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), and database management
• Plays a major role in the implementation of the ERP system of the company
• Supervises A/R, A/P, F/A,GL transactions
• Randomly audits work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized
• Substantiates and justifies expenditures and expense reports
• Supervises or prepares monthly journal entries
• Prepares financial statements
• Supervises or prepares general ledger reconciliations
• Assures internal control/OEC compliance
• May train staff on internal control procedures
• Reviews monthly closing process
• Liaise with External/Internal Auditors
• Works on special projects, if requested; assist with yearly audit preparation. If involved in the financial field.
