Procurement Manager

A UK based company are seeking a Procurement Manager responsible for the delivery and implementation of a range of procurement projects as detailed within the workplan, working in line with procurement strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for range of procurement projects, ensuring delivery and implementation along with compliance to Trust and EU policies/guidelines
  • Carry out presentations and meetings with internal stakeholders in respect of procurement workplan projects
  • Provide advice on corporate governance issues as they relate to purchasing and supplies
  • Ensure effective management and influence of non-pay expenditure in respect of procurement projects
  • Contribute to the Procurement Workstream savings plan
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of projects/contracts and ensure that this portfolio is reviewed on a regular basis in accordance with best practice and relevant statutory regulations
  • Undertake market research, gain customer commitment, engage project stakeholders, compile and issue tenders and quotations, conduct commercial, technical and clinical evaluations and implement contracts
  • Award and manage successful suppliers through effective supplier performance measurement criteria, regular meetings and contract management information
