Glass Manufacturer Buys ReadSoft for European Invoices
Glass manufacturer AGC Europe has chosen ReadSoft's electronic invoice processing solution. The European Group will initially automate the handling of 120,000 invoices annually. ReadSoft's solution will be linked to AGC's SAP system.
AGC Europe is part of world-wide leader Asahi Glass Company (AGC) of Japan. The AGC Group is one of the major industrial groups in Japan, with a strong presence across Asia, Europe and North America.
AGC Europe historically used an internally developed system to process supplier invoices at some of the plants. But when the European branch decided to expand and optimise the purchase to pay process in all subsidiaries, the internal solution was not robust enough.
AGC Europe formed a project team that studied the invoice automation market and after a thorough investigation their decision was to go with their alternative - ReadSoft. One key factor in their decision was that the ReadSoft platform could process all European languages.
