New York Secretary of State celebrates $245 million savings from shared services
The 2008 report, released recently, shows savings of up to one quarter of a billion dollars for New York department of State and local government partners.
The savings come from an initial investment of $23.3 million in 139 projects over the past 2 years, and a growing network of local leaders and partners responsible for advancing the modernisation and efficiency of local government.
The report highlights $245 million in projected savings on track to be achieved by local governments. The past two rounds of funds represent an average cost savings of $8.24 to every grant dollar invested.
