Northern Rail signs a deal with ITESOFT to streamline Purchase to Pay
With a projected target of 90,000 invoices to process per annum, Northern Rail, the largest UK Rail Company, has selected ITESOFT’s ‘freemind for invoices’ software to ‘get rid of the paper’. An SAP customer, Northern Rail will be installing ITESOFT into their ERP environment.
By using the full-text reading and the balance integration module technology inherent in the system, invoices will be scanned for key invoice data and images, validated and matched against the PO, and posted into SAP.

Cutting invoice process time is one thing, but Lincoln College are utilising the benefits of streamlining their P2P process in order to assist in the meeting of their environmental targets.
Since introducing Version One’s DbArchive, the college has sliced approval time down by 4 days. As a result, not only have the costs incurred by the manual process, such as printing, photocopying, and post been dramatically reduced, so have the environmental impact these actions generate.
Paul Allison, Finance Manager for Lincoln College commented, “Colleges are under increasing pressure from the Government to cut carbon emissions and make significant efficiency savings and so this was an important consideration when choosing Version One. Since implementing DbArchive, staff no longer have to print out and photocopy invoices several times over which has dramatically reduced our environmental impact.”
