I started working with sharedserviceslink.com in June 2010 to develop and roll out our content and community strategies. We want to ensure we're giving our members the information they need for their finance shared services and outsourcing initiatives.
Key activities at the moment include continuously improving our website (which we relaunched at the end of 2010), working with solution providers and end users to create new content, and forming the sharedserviceslink.com advisory board.
My career has focused on bringing together editorial activities, content strategies and knowledge management.
After editing trade magazines, including Inside Knowledge, and reports, such as The Social Networking Toolkit, and working as a freelance writer for a number of B2B publications, I made the leap into the corporate world. Joining insurance broking and risk management firm Aon as a corporate journalist and knowledge manager I supported client-facing teams and worked closely with the marketing, communications and public relations teams. My role involved nurturing communities of practice, surfacing lessons learnt and leveraging client insight.
I then moved to Ernst & Young as a knowledge broker for the Financial Services Organisation where I focused on unlocking and sharing knowledge across and beyond the organisation. I helped people build their internal networks and communities, increased knowledge reuse and fostered knowledge-sharing behaviours. I was predominantly aligned to the EMEIA banking sector, business development and account teams.
