The E-Invoicing Exchange Summit Europe will return to Berlin from 30th September to 2nd October 2026, bringing together policymakers, multinational businesses and technology providers to discuss the next phase of mandatory e-invoicing and digital tax reporting.

The event comes at a significant point for organisations operating across Europe. France's B2B e-invoicing mandate begins on 1st September 2026, while Germany's next implementation phase follows on 1st January 2027. At the same time, governments across Europe and beyond continue to expand Continuous Transaction Controls (CTCs), Peppol adoption and digital reporting requirements.

The programme will examine how organisations can manage an increasingly complex compliance landscape, with sessions covering regulatory developments, interoperability, implementation strategies and the practical challenges of multinational compliance.

Johannes von Mulert, Chairman of the E-Invoicing Exchange Summit, says:

"Ten years ago, e-invoicing was discussed primarily as a way to improve efficiency. Today, it has become a strategic element of tax compliance and digital government policy. The debate has moved beyond whether companies need e-invoicing – the real challenge is how multinational organisations can keep pace with an increasingly fragmented regulatory landscape."

The summit will feature speakers from government authorities, multinational organisations and industry bodies, with additional speakers expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The sharedserviceslink team will also be attending the Berlin summit and will be reporting on key announcements, regulatory updates and industry discussions throughout the event.
