Republic of the Congo Mandates Certified E-Invoicing from 1 August

The Republic of the Congo will require all businesses to issue certified e-invoices in real time from 1 August 2026, marking the end of the country's voluntary implementation phase for its Système de Facturation Électronique Certifiée (SFEC).

The requirement follows a March 2026 decree that introduced a testing period before mandatory adoption. While the SFEC platform has been available since earlier this year, the 1 August deadline marks the start of mandatory compliance.

For businesses operating in the Republic of the Congo, invoicing software and electronic fiscal devices must be certified and connected to the SFEC platform before the mandatory deadline.
