An accountant by profession, David has held many of the usual accounting and business focused finance roles, including that of Finance Director for a £300m autonomous Division.

Over the last 5 years, David has stepped out of these traditional roles into the wider world of Shared Services, Process Ownership and large scale technology deployments. During this time David has been responsible for steering the development and deployment of common processes across Balfour Beatty in support of the UK wide Oracle R12 implementation. Along the way he has also managed Balfour Beatty’s UK shared services project from feasibility to the transition of services into Balfour Beatty’s UK shared service center.

Latterly his focus has been on the governance and control of system and process changes associated with the Oracle R12 deployment and the transition of the in-house Oracle technical resources associated with the R12 programme to an out-sourced Systems integration partner.
